Their standard covers vehicles 12 years and newer.

Us 2000-2005 corolla drivers would need to go up to their $85 plan...
Bah, my dream of buying a used beige Corolla is crushed because of Costco's nickel and diming
Now i have to settle for Tesla Smiling Face With Open Mouth

On the phone, Vengo customer service says that we have the choice within towing distance... I would have preferred to see this written in terms and conditions...
Indeed something said by customer service is worth nothing, unless its in writing it carries no weight

To my knowledge CAA is the only roadside assistance which will drive you to where ever you want the car dropped off ie. Your goto mechanic or your home. Only one person needs CAA as you get 4 tows per year. The Plus membership is 200 or 250 km. I was looking into this earlier like 2 weeks ago. Also the member doesn't have to be with you when you get your car towed. These are deal breakers if you ask me. Last think you want is your car getting towed to one or their authorized mechanics which can cost you a fortune to fix. If my mother in law didn't have CAA I would have purchased it myself as I had to tow my car twice already and first time cost me $120 2 weeks ago. 2nd was CAA. It's a no brainer if you ask me.
I read somewhere that you can use the four tows as free pickups and dropoffs if you feel too drunk to drive. Imagine a free 250km ride for you and the family???? That would be insane!

Canadian Tire deal is coming next month, at least I have some feedback about CT but Vengo, never heard about them even Axa is one of the biggest insurance company.
Which CT deal is coming next month? The 30% off or the 50% off? And what makes you think it's coming next month?

I didn't know that BCAA basic membership only covers 5 km of towing. That's useless!

Better than the factory roadside assistance I have on my vehicles.
I'm going to give it a shot.

With CT's Gold membership at 50% off, that would be a much better deal since they drive to any location you want, and it's $49.99 after the discount.
Even at 30% off, it's still $69.99 a great deal.
I'd rather wait for this.

What's wrong with Canadian tire? They towed my car 200 kms no questions asked.

CT didn't tow your vehicle!
I wouldn't let CT near my vehicle; even if the service was free.

It's from 3rd party and Costco is just a sales rep. Costco will not hire bunch of truck drivers to do the road assistance job. Everything is outsourced.

I have my (BIG) doubts with Canadian Tire in regards of their repair system. The towing it's an externalized service. I needed once only for a few kilometers but they were promt and the service courteous enough. For 50 (plus tax dollars) to have 2 towing up to 250 de km I find it useful.
The only complaint that I have is the fact that the service is for the car and not for the person. CAA offers the coverage for the person.
