Returned my P50 which had a faint line in the middle with colour issues on one side during dark scenes.
Took forever to arrive and I wasn't really willing to wait again. The spying revelations sealed the deal.

I got the P65 on sale recently - unfortunately, the unit I got made a fairly loud buzzing/humming noise which was even worse when I was hooked up to a PC. I tried every single solution possible (unplugging everything, moving TV to another part of the house, isolating specific appliances), but couldn't get rid of the issue. Vizio's customer service indicated to me that this is not normal, and Costco was kind enough to exchange the unit, but, lo and behold, the second unit has exactly the same issue.

The image of the TV itself is fantastic - but the buzz is quite annoying. Beware, any other potential buyers...

The smartcast series don't spy. The other Vizios don't spy in canada.

Don't want to hijack the thread but even with a full pcap we may not really know. Yes you can 'turn it off' but it's the principle of it.
I'd rather not support a company that would go about it so blatantly.
The tablet ended up being totally useless but I was otherwise pretty happy with the TV.

Anyone have a Rogers HDPVR box? Ever wonder why it "downloads software" every day ? (mine at 2a.m.) It's sending data about you back to Rogers

The lack of a tuner is a huge turn off for me. I don't want to buy another device and have another remote.

Costco tvs are almost always more exspensive online than they are in store. I think they add on on shipping. The haier 65" 4K is $749 in store and $829 online. I've noticed it with other stuff before. I'm only telling you this cause you might save a few $$ by checking in store first.

Yeah I've often wondered how to just stop the machine for the night short of unplugging it?

I got the M70-C3 Dec 31st for 1499 +99 (warranty) and I am very happy with it. SD looks good, HD looks great and 4k looks awesome.
They do require some calibration, but that is easy to find online if you don't have any calibration kits.
Always bought Samsung or LG before but now I am confident in buying non mainstream brands

I got the same one as well at the same time and love it too.

I was in the market for a 65 inch tv but couldn't pass on that price for a 70 inch one.

I know. I meant that most people would assume that the price is the same in store and online like wal mart or can tire. So when it shows the price and it says shipping and handling included, you don't even really think about it. Its misleading. Where as on amazon or Walmart.ca it shows the regular price and then shows how much the shipping will cost. Costco should show the price and then show how much shipping is. Or if they want to have 1 price, instead of saying the shipping is included (which sounds like a good deal) it should say shipping added on.
