[Costco] Galaxy S8 $288 on contract, receive $400-450 Costco Cash card

Bell and Rogers Galaxy S8 for $287/$288 on 2yr contract (yes bloated contract price), but you get a $400 Costco cash card. Seems pretty good (for me Costco cash card may as well be cash, I spend enough there) - so basically I could see it as them paying me $112 to take the S8 on contract. Plus free car charger and bonus 50 Canada to US minutes per month. Looks to be most provinces, although a couple provinces the Costco cash card is even more ($425-450).

I was going to wait for Black Friday, but perhaps that won't even top this? I'm assuming the S8 will be $0 on contract, but the cash card will be minimal. Anyone have any predictions? Worth biting or should I wait and see what Black Friday offers up?

From Costco's web page, it seems to say $450 Costco cash card for Rogers, and $425 Costco cash card for Bell.

A couple of months ago, Costco had $0 down payment and 250 cash card. And last year S7 edge had $0 and $250 cash card plus $200 trade-in.

With a extra 20$ a month for the premium + tab, this phone will cost you around 400$. Too bad my primary line already on a tab. 8 months to go.

New plans only or existing? Can you go in and if you already have a similar plan, just get the s8, pay out any balance on your old phone, and resign for two years?

If so.. I'll wait and pray for the note to get something similar. I have the s8 plus and want the note..

Where do you see the product page for that?
Is this promo only for the S8, or the S8+/Note8 as well?

It was $0 with $300 GC at Walmart end of July so I'm assuming something similar in a few weeks.

EDIT: Walmart has it for $0 right now with $100 GC.

I imagine if you re-up your contract for 2 yrs you get the deal, but ya you'd need to pay out the balance. I'm guessing the Note8 won't get a similar deal for a while, Note is fair bit more expensive to begin with and is a very new model, whereas the S8 and S8+ are already 7ish months old.

BC.

Got to say though, with the extremely high prices of these plans, it's just easier to stay on older plans and pay for phone outright.

Can't imagine what it's like getting a new plan/line these days.

Anybody know what the cancellation is like with Rogers/Bell? Don't they have additional cancellation fees as well as paying off the device balance?
