[Costco] Motorola Talkabout 2 Way Radios Clearance $49.97

For anyone looking for 2 Way Radios Costco has a pair of Motorola Talkabout T601 on clearance for $69.97. I don't remember the regular price but somewhere over $100 and Amazon has the older T600 for $122.

Some Features from the T600 which I think is the same for T601
IP67 Waterproof: Count on the T600 H2O two-way waterproof radio to keep you connected whether on land or at sea

Advanced Built-in Flashlight with White and Red LEDs: Select the white LED setting on the built-in flashlight to light your way during evening activities, unexpected emergencies or power outages.

Know the Weather In Advance: Keep updated with real-time weather conditions by turning on one of 11 weather channels or initiating weather alerts. NOAA radio service may not be available in all areas.

22 Channels Each with 121 Privacy Codes: With 22 channels and 121 privacy codes, totaling 2,662 combinations, it's easy to find an available channel.
Compatible with Any Radio: You can communicate with other FRS/GMRS radios regardless of brand by being on the same channel and privacy codes.

Claims on the box states 56km range.

Edit. Should've said up to 56km.

I have these but the three pack. Used them in Croatia last year, Cuba in February on the resort and also camping and hunting in the fall.

Range on the highway going at 150 kmh worked great at ranges of 1km or so between cars at times. Cuba no issues through the resort. Hunting well because going up and down hills it wasn’t that great to communicate back to my wife and kids. I was maybe 1.5 km away and it was spotty at times. When I was higher up great but when I go would go lower than my truck where my wife was then it was spotty or not working at all. Campground and around no issues.

Either the Oshawa or Ajax location. I was taking pics at both to look up reviews for some products I was interested in and can't remember exactly where this pic was at.

This is probably overkill for my kids as walkie talkies huh?

Just a FYI - these are illegal both in Cuba and Europe.
I have FRS like these for North America and PMR446 for Europe.
That being said, I did use FRS for several years traveling around Europe and was never busted.

Bought my kids cheap walkie talkie before ($40) and the were terrible. Returned them to Amazon. Better to spend a little bit more and get some good ones. Another plus is Costcos return policy.
Hope my Costco has some....

Not at all.
These are cheaper than some AAA Xbox/PlayStation games, and hopefully it will encourage them to get outside. Even if they use them inside, it's hours of fun with a set that actually works, as opposed to the useless sets sold for kids.
We have an older set we would take car camping to provincial parks, and the kids had a great time with hide and seek.
