I haven’t found these for a few weeks now in the Fraser Valley at multiple locations

I bought and returned two pairs. The employees simply didn't have a use for them with cell phones nowadays.

In 1996, this might've been a hot seller.

I wanted to test the range, barely works beyond 500m in city, lot of background noise. Also, the battery on full charge lasts less than a day. Is that normal?

Wonder the same. Will these work well on a cruise?

Never had personal exp myself, but when on the cruise I see a good number of people using walkies. They sound like they work, but not sure how great overall on the whole trip.

No. If you are both outside on deck it'll work fine. Start going inside the ship and they'll function less and less reliably. Cruise ships are all metal, basically massive Faraday cages in some areas. I've seem people on ship with them and every time it's been a "John, are you there? John? John can you hear me?" sort of situation.

In port they'd be more useful (ship to shore, if the person on the ship is up top or on a balcony facing the port).

Not used these particular ones - but used another set and they worker brilliantly! Made life much much easier.

49.97 @ Costco Woodbridge West. Lots of stock

49.97 at Innes/Gloucester too.

Wonder if they still have any stock left in Winnipeg. I was hoping they had a 4 set but 2 sets at $50 doesn't sound so bad.
