Wow even better deal!

Had these out on the water last weekend on two different boats. Works awesome, boats were few kms apart, couldn't see each other but was able to communicate as though we were standing right beside each other.
Up votes, down votes, they're all votes for me! I thank you!

anyone check out Ajax for qty?
Zero. And they wont refund the difference from when it was $69.97, if you bought one there in the past.

I wanted to test the range, barely works beyond 500m in city, lot of background noise. Also, the battery on full charge lasts less than a day. Is that normal?
For these to work at optimal distance there has to be NO obstacles between the radios. (Think of an open field)
In the city there are too many buildings (obstacle) that will affect the operation and signal of the radio.

Notice on the packaging it states "up to" 56KM distance.

Buy a couple of baofeng 5R's and thank me later. /thread
What's the difference? I find the Motorola too big probably because of the waterproofing.
Are the baofengs stronger so better range? Is it hard to program? Are these ham radios ?
