[Costco] Costco: New BBQ Propane Tank (Filled) $41.48

Spring is still to come but with nice weather floating around here & there I decided to pick up a propane tank for my new Weber BBQ.
Searching through last year's threads, there hasn't been a price as low as this (new tank + propane), so here's to sharing:

Costco locations (Etobicoke, Vaughan and I'm assuming nationwide) are selling new 20lb propane tanks for $27.99; filling them at the same location costs $13.49
$41.48 plus tax total.

Costco recently raised there filling price from $12.99 to $13.49

Just for RFDer's INFO

Are there any cheaper places to get a tank filled?

COOP Gas stations usually have propane fillers and you pay by the pound...
usually much cheaper to top up and sometimes even cheaper for a whole fill...
Also CT has usually on saturday mornings a cheap refill rate for propane.

Costco dissapointed me here after they've increased the prices, last year was $9.99 for a fill and now $12.99 wtf...

Don't forget you'll need to get the tank purged first. That will add to the final cost.

Ah, I thought it was just buying a tank and filling it up.
What is the cost of purging and will Costco do it as well?

Things must have changed since I got one in the summer. The price
of the tank included the propane. I think the total came out to around $32 after tax.

I imagine that any place that sells propane will do it, but don't quote me on that.

I think it cost me $10 the last time I had it done 5 years ago.

No need to have them purged, they now come ready to fill. Regardless, Costco never charged me to purge a tank I've bought there.
