Its also 15 cents on Walmarts online site. But I just found out my order will be ready in 7-10 days. I thought it would be same or next day. You can get 1 hour service if you send it to some select walmarts apperantly.

Costco is one hour everyday. Just bring your photos, do some shopping and fini! Well the lady said that to me.

Yep, they will do it while you wait no problem. Quality of paper used isn't as good as at Futureshop, but it'll do

Jun 25th, 2006 08:08 PM #6what do you mean by that? Most of the costcos i've seen in quebec use fuji frontiers or noritsu processors which are the industry standard.

Each companies paper (Kodak/Fuji/Agfa/Konica,etc) have certain qualities about them. Some are better at reproducing colours and others are better at skin tones. Just depends what your needs are. From my experiance costco prints are not the best but for the price it's a great deal for non critical work.
I'm not bragging here or trying to start a flame war but I work as a photographer full time for 14 years so i know what I'm talking about. If in your experiance you get better quality prints from FS versus costco I can assure you it is not because of the paper, it is because the operator of the processor had better training and a more experianced eye when it comes to color correction. This also means if you get good prints from one FS store it does not mean you will the same quality from another FS at another location. If you are happy with where you get your prints done stay with that place for consistant results.
I hope i cleared up any confusion. Thanks.

SWEET!!!! I do a lot of printing from there. all prices are lower...
Product Price old
4x6 $0.15 $0.18
5x7 $0.49 $0.59
8x10 $1.49 $1.99
8x12 $1.49 $1.99
I wonder what are the prices of the other prints, like 11x14 and 12x18

A wallet size *or one of them* is 2"x3". You can fit 4 of them onto a 4x6. So 15 cents devided by 4 *assuming you want 4*.

Meh.... Depends on the date you ordered; I just picked mine up today, and paid .18 cents per print. {It was only 20, though, not a big deal.}
Remember guys, check your Amex statements for the 'Buy 10 any size print, and get 10 free 5X7 when you pay, using your Amex' coupon that is probably included in your Air Miles Amex statement! It expires on June 30th, and you do need a hard copy of the coupon, so be sure to keep an eye out for that coupon.
Thanks, OP! I'll order some more prints now, for .15 cents each.

Jun 25th, 2006 11:35 PM #12Thanks for the info. This is a good information. I was wondering about Blacks quality print, it seems to be better then the rest in my experience. Assume you are saying that the technician is better trained and more experience.

Jun 25th, 2006 11:40 PM #13It was my June statement, [the one that would be due in July.] I did a posting on it on RFD, as well. Man, I hope you get one, after all, but chances look slim now with only a few days to go! Sorry!!!

Like I've been saying in previous threads, I've done several comparisons between Costco, Futureshop and Blacks. I've printed out 5 different test photos for each company and Costco wins hands down.
Costco colours are accurate, crisp and print on great quality paper. You can even turn off auto correction if you post process your own photos. What you see is almost what you get. (can't get 100% of what you see off of the monitor due to colour limitation) You can also download their ICC profiles for the printers, so you can preview the soft proof of the picture before printing.
Futureshop is ok, but they auto correct and the pictures turned out over contrasted. Certain parts of the pics are over exposed while other parts are too dark. I guess it is satisfactory for everyday photos.
Blacks by far is the worst. The colours are off my a long shot, and the picture looks dull. They try to auto correct the photos and it looks too green. They tried to manually fix them, but still didn't look right. In the end I just gave up and threw them in the trash... No way I'm going to get photo manually corrected everytime I print batches of 100 pics.
So, anyways, Costco is my final choice and now that they've drop the prices, the better for my wallet
Cheers!
JC
