Friends don’t let friends buy LG’s unless they’re OLED
Versus what, LG LED? Or LG LCD? Also, what's the difference between LCD/LED/OLED?

So this TV for $599 is "a good price for a quality tv, even if it's basically regular price", rather than "a hot deal on a quality tv, get it now while it lasts" type deal right?

Well this is tempting. Been 2 years that I've been "Browsing" for a tv deal. I missed the haier 55 with 4 HDMI in the 400$ range a few years ago but this is not bad and seem to be good reviews. And it's got the 4 HDMI, smart and 55 inch screen that I want.

My wife is all ok with me buying a new TV but for some reason I keep telling myself that our 49inch TV from 2009 still works good and I dont need it right now.. lol

There's 13 in my store. what to do.. what to do.. lol
Sell your 49" that way you need one right now 🤣

Has anyone seen the m55 in store in Metro Vancouver? All they seem to have is D55.
Richmond Costco has plenty in stock

I would say the pricing takes into account that they are discounting 2018 models. Keep in mind that this still sells for $648 USD (on sale from $700 USD which was original price when it first came out) on Walmart.com, so about $860 Cdn, getting it for $600 is a hot deal. It may drop further in price, but stock is unlikely to be replenished.

If you can get the TCL Series 6 55" for $600, that would be a hotter deal.

Grabbed one to use as a monitor, so far pretty good, lot of size at this brigwhow
htness level 60hz 4k at 4:4:4. For this price you would have to pay a grand or more for 4k with true hdr in a dedicated monitor....
how far are u sitting away, 55inch HUGE for pc monitor! text must be huge lol

I paid full price ($899) when this TV first showed up at Costco in June (I think?) last year; no regrets whatsoever. At $599, it is a lava hot deal IMHO.

Just wondering do you get wifi issues with this tv? I bought the tv yesterday and it is constantly dropping my wifi connection.

Not that I am aware of. But I only stream through my XB1X through wired Ethernet.

I picked one up on Friday. How does this compare to this
https://www.amazon.ca/TCL-55S425-CA-Ult ... way&sr=8-1
or this
https://www.amazon.ca/TCL-65S425-CA-Ult ... way&sr=8-5

Like Costo, Amazon extended warranties are not that expensive either.
I bought the 55 inch tcl from Walmart a few weeks which is the same model as the amazon one. I have only used the vizio for two days but the image quality is so much better. I do prefer Roku interface over Vizio’s but the vizio has way more features that I actually prefer. Local dimming, an extra HDMI port, Dolby vision and google home support. Tcl is know for having quality issues so that is the biggest reason why I’ll be returning the TCL shortly.

Damn, I paid $850 back in September for this TV, and that was a good deal back then. There's absolutely no way you can complain about this model at this price (unless of course it drops further). I've been really happy with the display and even though it's a steal now, I'm still happy with what I paid.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.
