Costco Sunridge (Calgary) had 10 left when I grabbed mine Friday. East Hills only had their display. Crossiron had 16 I believe they said.

Have you tried Oshawa, they had 6 on Friday night.

Can someone help with the setup, finding the blacks are awful, very dull picture too, looks like you are watching TV on a computer monitor.
I keep comparing to my 13 year old plasma.

I have calibrated using this https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/vizio ... 8/settings
Ask me about the AMEX Air Miles Reserve Credit Card. A much better way to redeem your Dream Air Miles.

Attractive at this price but it is worth noting that the 2019 M series is a big improvement over the 18 model. They doubled the number of local diming zones, added dolby vision, and significantly improved the screen brightness and motion blur of the tv. It wont be 599 but the 2019 model is pretty much 2x the tv vs the 18. I think you would buy this deal if wanting the absolute bottom price, but if you wanted a tradeoff of price vs performance, you would look at the 2019 Viz M or the 2019 TLC 6 series.

Most recommended settings on a LED / LCD do not give a vibrant appearance. I have a Samsung plasma that developed a purple spot and yes the recommended settings on a plasma have more pop.

The 2018 model supports Dolby Vision.

I ended up getting this instead of waiting because there's always something better anyways. Considering I was coming from an LG 50LB6300, it's a nice upgrade (even if the 2019 version is better.

So far I'm pretty happy. I do want to tweak some of the settings still, but it's definitely a nice upgrade for me.

Just bought a tv last Sunday.. Was the original price of the tv $700? Do we still need to buy surge protectors as well?

This misled me a bit but i was going to get the extended warranty anyways.

Its actually 2 (comes with TV via manufacturer/costco) + 3 years extended warranty (ExcellencePlus). So really $60 for 3 additional years or $20/year.

Still agree with your statement its a no brainer.
Yes,but only 2 if you are a member... if you buy online and are not a member, I dont think you get the extra year, but still, to have 2 years covered directly by Costco, you could in essence, end up with current model year if you have a failure within the first couple years I believe.
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

The second rule of RFD is, you DO NOT talk about RFD.

So when are the 2019 models coming out?

Returning my set today. at times it would make an extremely lound continuous and deafening buzz if I turned off the cable box and the set would power on and off by itself, each cycle took about 2 minutes. I guess no one else here had this issue?

Consider yourself blessed that this happened the first 90 days and not after.
