Called local Costco and only availability is a store in Quebec which is pointless for me but GL to the Québécois.

Who in their right mind thinks 8.3 lbs is ultralight??

Geez, carry a backpack. My 38L weights 10.9 oz (~300g). That’s literally 1/13th the weight.

Is it chain wide? I bought two of them 3 weeks ago in Gatineau for 120$, could I have a price adjustment since it has been less than 60 days?

They only do adjustment if you can find it in stock in store at new price

Has anyone used these before? Are they any good?
They’re good enough. Costco does carry better Samsonsite models, but they are more expensive.

If you travel a lot, they will probably last you a few years.

Going to be very tough to find at this price. You would need to hope for a return, or find a store that isn’t as busy.

I bought it at 119.97. My closest store didn’t have much stock at this price.

Why would it matter, considering you will load it to the max weight allowed by the airlines?

Because when I travel, I actually have to move whatever I bring around with me. Would you rather lug 40lbs up a mountain or 8lbs?

So you travel with an empty suitcase?
My point is, the "dry" weight is not an issue, as the overall weight will be 4x-5x after fully packed!

4x-5x times the weight of an 8lb suitcase?! How/why are you bringing 30-40lbs of stuff on a trip? My entire pack weight INCLUDING all my gear is 4.8lbs (business -- includes suit and electronics) or 8.7lbs (hiking/pleasure -- includes tent/sleeping bag/sleeping pad/etc).

I don't really think this is designed for the trips that you want to go on.
