[Costco] TCL 6 Series 55-in. 4K HDR Roku Smart TV 55R613CA Online Shipped $689

Costco has the TCL 55-in. 4K HDR Roku Smart TV with Dolby Vision 55R613CA now online shipped at $689. Not sure if the in store price is better, but if anyone was waiting to get one of these shipped from Costco for the obvious benefits. 90 Day return, 2 year warranty, $60 3 year warranty extension to 5 years, they are online.

Ending 9/19 now.

67 available, might be cheaper in store. You can price adjust if the online price drops but you cannot price adjust if the in store price drops (if placing an online order).

Price adjust only works for the same method of purchase, either in store or website.

It says 30 days to price adjust but it really is 90 days because of the return policy, after 30 days they have to "review" it.

I got the 55 4 series for 439. Is it worth it to spend the extra $250 to upgrade?

If it's going to be your main TV and going to clock a lot of hours i'd pony up the difference and get the best TV TCL offers at an affordable price (which is this lol).

They should have both models, go in store and compare the two.

It really depends on the type of watching you do, and how critical a viewer you are. For example if you do not often watch your TV in a darkened room, you may not see much benefit to the local dimming , and better black level of the 6 Series. If you are happy with the 4 series picture quality, then go with it. If you have an aspect or two that you noticed and are not completely satisfied with, maybe you should compare the 6 series and see if the $250 is worth spending.

Let me check my crystal ball.

Yes.Winking Face
Probably, but it's not a sure thing. Could be OOS or a New model already introduced at the time.

It was the same price in-store (rang in at $719-$30 coupon) at the Okotoks, AB location.

Nah, stick to the 4 series, especially with the $30 5 year warranty. It's the best value and video quality difference is honestly negligible when I saw them side by side.

I got this TV in early May, about 2 weeks after Costco warehouse got it. My initial choice was Vizio P55 but this TCL 6 series was $200 less at the time. I had one price adjustment done to bring the price to $699 before taxes. For this price, plus the extra warranty for $60, I am happy with this TV. If it dies 5 years plus one day, I would still be happy with the value this TV. Roku interface is better than Chromecast (I have since also bought the Vizio P55 TV) as it allows for new Apps, even in Canada! One enhancement, I would recommend is a sound bar. I picked up a refurb Yamaha ATS-1080 to experiment with and now it is indispensable part of my set up. I guess it was a good thing that our 48” Sharp LED TV died of its old age from 2010. Now the new toys are fun!

Highly recommend it at this price.

Will it play Prime Video?

If you have any intentions of watching HDR content, don’t listen to this guy
