[Costco] And they are back.... Kirkland Protein Bars $23.99

They are back. 23.99 for 20 (10 chocolate and 10 brownie)

Warning - it seems like the new formulation is causing gas attacks in many people. It may be due to the inulin in these bars. Hot deal still if you can handle the new formula or dont mind gassing people.

Edit... math was off lol

Wouldn't that be 23.99 for 20 then, not 10?

23.99 for 10 or for 20? Your post is confusing. If for 20, that's a good deal. If for 10, that's not that great compared to other options (Pure Protein as example).

I’m a bit confused, these never left or disappeared. What do you mean “they are back”?

Uh. Yes they did. They were pulled out of Costco for over a year for unknown reasons. I've been waiting for them to come back for a while now...

They sure did. They have been out of warehouses for the entire spring and summer, at least out west.

They're back, and apparently the recipe has changed to include inulin. Which causes issues with some stomachs.

I bought some of these before the supply gap (which I didn't notice). They tasted pretty not great, as far as bars go, mostly because my taste buds don't like sugar substitutes. They were still edible, and on a positive note, the marginal taste made them less tempting to eat at any point in time where it wasn't necessary, but ultimately that wasn't enough to redeem them for us.

The carb count is higher this time round. A little different ingredients. Not sure why they did this. Different from the US version too.

Yes but that was back in the spring.

I bought a box yesterday London South, new packaging. And I seem to be having some issues from the added inulin. :(

Is that why the information on the website is wrong?

It says:

15 g of fibre
21 g of protein
4 g net carbs
1 g of sugar

but when you check the nutrition info it actually has 10 net carbs (which is almost more than I have in an entire day).

Interesting from Google
nulin has several important health benefits. It may promote gut health, help you lose weight and help manage diabetes. However, while it is safe for most people, you should be careful if you have a FODMAP intolerance or certain allergies.

What are the risks of taking inulin?
Bloating.
Abdominal cramping.
Loose stools.
Gas.
More frequent bowel movements
