[Costco] Vizio P65-C1 $1800.00

I think "97 cents" donates clearance pricing. Many claim up-scaling has been improved with recent firmware update. Looks like they have 45 units remaining as of now.

This is $200 cheaper than the cheapest it's ever been. I would have jumped on this (I was watching the page every day for another drop) if the Sony XBR65X900E for $1750 deal didn't come along before this price drop at Costco.

I think dollar for dollar if you are looking at these two sets for the same money I suggest going with the Sony though. Still this is a pretty good deal especially if you are the type that will buy an extended warranty regardless as nobody can match the 5 year warranty that Costco offers for $100.

Excluding Android TV and TV Tuner I would say this TV is closer to the 930E then 900E lacking dolby vision and lower number of zones. I will only buy TVs from Costco for the 5 year warranty. Sony sends refurb replacements (although with 2 year additional wty). A few people have mentioned they have received new replacement E1 models from Costo/Vizio who had issues in the past. I think build quality was improved on the "E" models.

If this deal was available a month ago I probably would of bought this with the warranty since I was debating between this and the 900e (bought 65x900e for $1800).

I picked this TV up last month for 2000. Anyone know if Costco will match the new price?

Love the TV though. It came with both the 5 inch tablet and a basic remote. Videogames are bright, sharp and smooth. Netflix 4k looks great and Planet Earth 2 on UHD is amazing!
If you're buying it, note the unusual stands on it. You'll need an entertainment unit at least 60 inches wide to hold it.

Out There!!!!
FYI....I believe the C makes it last years model (2016). An E would make it this years model.

Give them a call they'll likely say yes -- since appliances can be returned within 90 days and re-purchased at sale price.

Yeah...Read on one of these threads that the main difference is the E comes with a remote and not the tablet...but for the C, you can get Vizio to send you a regular remote...

Based on rting, E1 has less deterioration due to upscaling.

That's what I was expecting, because I'd read that too, but mine came with both the tablet and remote right in the box last month. Regardless, the free little tablet is a nice perk of the 2016 model.

I've been waiting on either the P65 or 900E to go below $2k. I wasn't able to get the deal from Teletime. Should I just go with this one or do you think the E1 or 900E will get down towards this price? The C1 and E1 seem to be identical outside of the remotes. They're both $2800~ base price so it would be a pretty steep drop. It seems Black Friday mainly has the lower tier TVs go on for 50% off etc..

That remote mostly is the IR blaster. You wouldn't be able to access settings and similar menus thru that.

You can still get another regular remote by contacting support.

I just pulled the trigger. I was waiting on 900 too but this is a great price for a great TV. They will give you a new remote and the new firmware upgrade will make the TV just like this years model.

P.S. Also included the 5 year warranty for 99$
