Bought the food wrap 2 weeks ago at regular price. Tried to get the difference back yesterday and got denied. This is a first for me. Used to be able to get differences back for items bought even 1+ month ago. They told me I could only get the difference back if it was bought within one week and it's a new "policy" since new year. Anyone can comment on this? I ended up buying one at discounted price and will return it next time I go there.

Wow that's bad for them refusing your price adjustment within two weeks of purchase. Even crappytire lets you do price adjustment for 14 days if I am not mistaken.
Out here in the East, I was granted a price adjustment for clearance item after three weeks of purchase just last week. But haven't tried the sale item yet. Yeah returning the product if it's not used yet and re-purchase the item is the way to go if they start to enforce this new policy.

Just buy it again, and before you walk out, visit Customer Service and use the old receipt and return it, walk-out.

Can the deny the refund if they see you just purchased the product?

If you have other items, drop them off in the car first and come back in with the items you want to return on old receipts. I've used this method a few times when items go on sale one to two weeks later.
