getting an official hard drive and extra controller is worth the extra $50 over the $150 arcade deal
you inevitably want a hard drive, and the only value close to this is an unofficial chinese clone drive (which is also okay if you want to do that)
also costco might still have a superior warranty

Good deal. This was the exact deal I was looking for but was hoping it was at EB so I could use my credits.
I think all the 60GB that made it into Canada were Jaspers.

Would you run the risk of being banned if you got one of the clone drives? Is it detectable like the DVD drives were?

If this is real, this is MUCH better than the $150 arcade deal

Likely not, these drives have been out in the wild for years now, if Microsoft wanted to do something about them they would have already.
Of course you'll eventually have people in this thread who have consulted their rolodex of important IGN (lol) and Microsoft friends that will suggest that a 'ban' is coming soon if you use these drives so YMMV.

It's like any other Crazy Costco Deal, a huge waste of time for anyone but the .00001% of RFD members who live next to that specific store.
I have no more time, gas or effort left for this stupidity.

Was there 5 minutes ago and got one too (xbo pro 60gb+controller+easy charger kit) final price with taxes 225 and manuf. date was Nov 8,2008. Thanks, thanks, and many thanks to OP, my old (2005 first batch) just died with RROD for the fourth time (being fixing myself ever since...). Since I use to stream cartoons to my kids so is not an option and more of a necessity. Oh, for those interested, there's a lot of them there from the number of paper things they have hanging in there...
