Cottaging ?
Is it possible to go to cottage country and do what I see the people do on TV? Ie, go fishing, biking, canoeing, BBQ'ing, etc. We don't own a cottage, but surely we can rent one can't we? We live in the GTA, looking for a place in Ontario. Is this possible? How much would it cost to rent for say...4 days?
Someone reccomended us Camp Cherokee (www.campcherokee.ca). It's for camping isn't it?
Thanks.

www.northerncomfort.com is a good site.
you're kinda late for booking this year but if you're flexible, you may still be able to find something.
Price can vary a lot depending on location, amenities etc.

We book from http://www.ontariocottagerental.com/ every year.
You can quickly see dozens of cottages, their weekly rates and their availabilities. They are generally larger cottages though, from $700-$4000/week. Good for big groups, probably not so good if you're just a couple or small family. We've got a 2500 sq. ft. place booked for 13 people next week.
