A couple of questions about photo printers....
Are home photo printers worth while? Is the quality and price /peformance ratio worth it versus sending photos to somewhere like Costco?
Many thanks,

I haven't worked out the numbers but I got the HP Photosmart a210 last year for under $100, for $40 off HP website I bought 4 ink cartridge set that came with 80 4x6 Photo paper.
I really just needed a color printer but I have to say, I'm very impressed by the quality that comes out. I don't know what Costco charges I'm sure it's a good deal, I think it boils down to matter of convenience and control. I doubt the savings of printing at home would amount to a significant sum unless you print quite often, in that case I think the home option is the best considering control and volume.

not really worth it unless you print a lot of nudies/fetish that you want to keep private

Depends on use. If you're just printing up 4x6 for an album, then no.
If you're printing larger formats, then it starts to become more cost-effective.
If you want complete control over colour, paper, etc, then it's worth it from a creative standpoint, but also more expensive.
If you NEED your photos as fast as possible, it's worth it. But this generally holds true only for pros or procrastinating students.
Just remember, printer ink is the world's most precious commodity. Rarer than unicorn tears, and hand squeezed by a blind monk on top of an invisible mountain. Or I assume as much based on cost.
