Court Date Set, Suggestion Plz
So in 2 months I have to sit in the court and try to fight for 2 tickets I got last August 2006.
The first one I dont have to worry, only failed to surrender insurance I forgot to bring at the time.
The second one is failed to change lane for emergency vehicle on Don Valley Parkway. What happened was, I saw a copper's car was doing a traffic stop in the safe/emergency stop lane (don't know what it's called), the lane far right. I slowed down to about 60kms and passed them without changing lane and with extra care. I was worry I wouldn't be able to speed up with the other car since I was driving an old Micra 1.2L engine (slow car). I didn't realize the middle lane was empty until I passed them. I was sure I gave them enough space to let him fully open his door. The car I was driving is very small and compact (just a bit wider than the SmartCar)
I wonder what are my chances the ticket will be thrown out if I file in 11b form ? Or should I just plead guilty and ask for fine deduction and no point (3 points for this)
What would be the best to do? They hold the court date way too long (13 months)
I'm meeting with one of the traffic ticket fighter guy tomorrow evening if he can give me a good price, I might go with him but I'm kinda broke right now :P

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking but what do I tell the judge later?

What is considered a reasonable time?
Either way, that ticket sounds like a moving violation. Insurance company doesn't play the points system, a ticket is a ticket.

Do a search on this board...there is already a thread about making a Charter defense.
