craigslist vs buysell.com
I noticed that people place car sale ads in both Craigslist.org and buysell.com . What sites you guys prefer for car shopping? Personally I tried buysell.com several times and found it too much car dealer oriented and private party sale ads are placed at bottom of the pile. Craigslist offers separate sections for Owner and Dealer ads or a merged list (show all). And the site is less cluttered.
Buysell.com is owned by Trader coorporation which runs the commercial version Autotrader.ca site. I guess there motive is to attract people to autotrader.ca and kill the competition from free sites like craigslist.org.

As a buyer you use all sources to find what you want. As a seller you use all resources to sell what you have.
The conspiracy theory you presented is a bit of a stretch and would it be applicable to all sites or just the two you mention

I have seen several cars being placed for sale both in craigslist and kijiji as well as other sites. It tends to be easier to score a deal off these sites vs autotrader, where they go fast.

i was selling my car before and I had it post on Autotrader, Craigslist and Kijiji. The post on Autotrader cost me a lil more but they a lot to offer. After months in the post, I gave up on Autotrader and continued on with Craigslist and Kijiji - cuz both sites are free. Someone called me oneday and decided to buy it off me. He found me on Craigslist.

I was looking at your avatar for at least 3 minutes. Good job.
