craigslist vs kijiji vs freecycle or use them all?
freecycle you have to wait awhile to get membership admittance but I noticed theres many posts on there when i got in today but man there's so many rules i had to read and i didn't even bother
craigslist....really easy to use, simple, most cities are listed....interface can be daunting as there's so much text everywhere
kijiji....easy to use, but advertising everywhere_______________

depends on the item, I would vote freecycle (if it has value/highly desirable) and then craigslist.
Crap that I just want to get rid of but don't want to chuck goes straight to craigslist.
I don't like kijiji due to the paid placements and sketchy search results._______________
Boycott the Canadian Tire located at 403 & Dundas for it's clueless automotive department, poor service and lack of commonly stocked items.

The answer depends on where you live. In Ottawa and Victoria, their respective usedcanada.com sites usedottawa.com and usedvictoria.com rule the roost. In other places, Kijiji has tons of ads, and in others, craigslist is the way to go.
Here in Ottawa, I use all three, but often I can sell what I want on usedottawa without too much trouble._______________

Agreed. I am in Ottawa and buy sell a lot on usedottawa.com as well as khrido.com Used to use kijiji but lately there have been too many paid ads that take up all the space and free ads go way down.

Craigslist and Kijiji
I usually use Craigslist and Kijiji pretty much exclusively. Both websites have been a great help selling old computer equipment, electronics and furniture. I do have a Freecycle account but I don't use it very much. There are also other great services people can try like Household Network, Loneables and swaptree.
These are all great sites in helping people with Borrowing, Bartering and Buying Secondhand.

In order of preference for getting rid of junk:
- Freecycle (if I'm giving it away for free)
(got rid of a bunch of CRT monitors this way)
- eBay / Craigslist (toss up, as it depends if the item is shippable)
- RFD BST (RFDers are way to price conscious
)
- buysell.com
- Kijiji_______________

100% craigslist for me. I cannot stand kijiji's interface. I've used craigslist for so many things...bought my car there, found a couple different apartments there and also found a new tenant when I wanted to move out. Bought cheap things I need like metal bed frames, etc.
Extremely easy to use and tons of stuff that you might need.
