Bell are offering their new Crave TV for 50% off for 4 months. Includes HBO live channels. The discounted subscription rate is restricted to iOS apps only (@Red_Army mentioned that Apple may be subsidizing the rate), but once you've signed up you should be able to login with the website and Android apps.

Have to sign up before Dec 10 2018.

They currently have two price points, $10 and $20 / mnth. The $20 package includes live HBO channel streaming, plus extra movies. You can also choose to get 25% the annual plan ($240 - 25%).

Promo pricing, expires Dec 10 2018.

As you subscribe via in app purchase, the deal could be made better if you also snag some 20% iTunes cards from Costco.

The FAQ's state that you can stream to 2 devices simultaneously, so maybe you can also split the cost with a family or friend.

EDIT: Added that you sign up via an iOS app for the discounted rate, but should then be able to login via Android / web browser.

So it's 5$ and 10$ respectively, or the 10/20$ is already discounted?

I'd hate to give Bell money, but if it's 5/10$, might be worth it

Regular price is $10 or $20, so yes, you'd be paying $5 or $10 / mnth depending on which package you go with.

Not really a deal here. You can get Crave elsewhere like Telus for $7 or packaged with The Movie Network and HBO for $10 for 3 months, $20 after

Seems like you forgot to paste the following : "50% off for the first four months with a monthly subscription, or additional savings when signing up for an annual plan (12 months for the price of nine)."

At least for me it’s special pricing for 4 months only. They updated their app, I hope they improved the quality as well. It used to be pretty crappy.

Standalone, like this offer, or only as an add-on if you already pay Telus a bunch of money for other things?

I added the movies + hbo onto my existing crave sub today. Got one month free and then $10 per month ongoing. Im on the old 6 month for $40.75 crave plan for my base subscription.

I can finally get rid of my hbo now subscription as this includes the exact same content and I don’t have to use a dns to access it. Overall it’s a decent price for this service imo.

I always love when companies just ignore 90% of the world market and include only iOS. They are DOA for me. But great deal for those who can benefit from it.

Crave tv only supports up to 720p quality. On an iOS that quality doesn’t really matter but when you want to use it for other supported devices the quality watching experience might not be so great compared to other streaming services especially when watching on a large screen tv.

How much data does Crave use playing video?
On Crave.ca, users can control the quality of their video playback. In the video player, click on the gear icon in the bottom right corner. Users can select from a list of video playback options with 720p being the best quality available. An hour of 720p playback will use approximately 2.5GB of data.

Approximate amount of data used per bitrate:

720p – 2.5GB/hour
540p – 1.1GB/hour
360p – 800MB/hour
240p – 320MB/hour
