So that's what happened, I was stuck near Bamburgh circle for a while, I usually take the little shortcut through a residential area but this time it was packed. Hell, I even saw a big vehicle carrier trailer in the residential area trying to get through.
Steeles/Birchmont is an effin' gauntlet, people run that light all the time, even though there are two red light cameras facing east and westbound.
edit: Jesus, hope the lady is alright. I live a minute away from that intersection.
Two people have been sent to hospital after a collision at Steeles Ave. E. and Birchmount Rd just before 8 a.m. A woman in her 40s was standing under a bus shelter when a vehicle crashed into the shelter. She was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries. A driver was also sent to hospital. Const. Tony Vella said that a vehicle hit an electric pole, falling the pole and exposing live wires atop the vehicle.Last edited by coriolis; May 7th, 2012 at 12:13 PM.

For those who didn't go to the TM3 link where the pics originated from earlier.
He hit a trailer tire... lost control and went under a trailer...then once he got away he went under another trailer (50+feet long) and then car came to a stop and thats when I pulled over to see if he was alight...
all the damage you see was done by the hit, none of it was done by the fire guys or anything in that matter_______________

Collisions suck...
http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/ar...und-lanes?bn=1
Two people were killed on Highway 407 Monday after stepping out of their car to check a flat tire.
The accident happened around noon near Yonge St.
A westbound Toyota pickup truck struck the disabled vehicle and the two victims, Ontario Provincial Police said. One person was killed instantly and the other died in hospital.
Two other people were inside the car when it was struck. OPP Sgt. Woodford said they were not injured but are related to the deceased. Woodford said the passengers were not from the area and were en route to Brampton.
Three people were sent to hospital with minor injuries, one of whom was the female driver of the pickup truck.
EMS said that eight ambulances responded to the call. York Regional Police, fire crews and OPP were also on the scene.
The westbound lanes of Highway 407 near Yonge St. had been closed during the accident investigation, but have since reopened._______________
