Creating a Battery/Alternator/Starter Sub Forum

With the cold snap that is taking place all over the country, would it be possible to create a separate Battery/Alternator/Starter sub forum with a sticky about various information?

This article would be a good sticky: https://carbatteryworld.com/car-battery-voltage/

Thanks

We could maybe review a sticky thread but I don't think an entire subforum would be necessary.

That I think should serve the RFD Community well. Items like the following should be added to it:

- Battery Voltage: This link is good for it: https://carbatteryworld.com/car-battery-voltage/
- Crank Voltage minimum (i.e. above 9.6 Volts)
- Alternator voltage

Battery Manufacturers:
East Penn Deka makes Everstart Maxx, Canadian Tire, Parts Source, NAPA, Carquest, Toyota/Lexus and many OEM brands
Johnson Controls makes Costco

Does a thread exist today that could be considered for sticky?

Not particularly, but I can whip one up if you like.
Let's see what @TomRFD thinks and if he approves, feel free to whip up a thread.

I second a Battery / Alternator thread, especially in this cold weather.

I just created this sticky in the Auto forum. Could someone please make it a sticky?

We will need to wait for @TomRFD to review.

Looks good to me so I've stickied it. Thanks for putting forth the effort to create that guide.

thread yes, subforum no.

If there were to be another subforum in the auto section, i think Insurance and/or accidents/tickets would be a better suggestion
