Ok so lets get this straight, you or someone you know gained access to stolen cc's, then you came up with this brilliant plan to buy gift cards in order to remain anonymous while spending the stolen money.
But then you realized, since you want a warranty, you will have to give your information... lol... getting stolen goods isn't enough you want a warranty.. wow... 'oh i know, i'll run this idea by my friends at rfd and see if they have any solutions....'
you're an ass. and i hope you get caught for using stolen cc's.
i have had my card number stolen twice. once this past week. it's annoying when you have payments from the card you have to call companies, update infomation etc.

I think the OP is worried about being scammed, not planning a scam.

That is the hardest thing to know if you are a victim of stolen GC or brought GC that come from a stolen CC. But I remember reading another poster saying you request the seller to meet you the the store (e.g u buy BB GC so ask the seller to meet you at any BB) then transfer the value of the GC to a new GC.

Probably.
What you really do is use the gift card immediately to buy something.
Then return it the next day and get store credit.

Wow, I know as I was typing it the thought was going in my head, it sounds likes "I may be the one" who stole the CC in disguise but that's NOT he case obviously. Way to jump to conclusion... I just bought a GC yesterday and it was successful. Barely a month old at RDF I just wanted to get some opinions and protect myself from any possible scams or problems ...
I have to say, I have no empathy for you getting your cards stolen, you're an ass.

Yeah, I guess that 'protects' me anywho. I think its' okay as long as you finish the transaction and pay with the gift card right there on the spot. Thanks for all of you who gave your opinions and suggestions.
