I got a TD Student Visa once I reached 18 because I had an account with them since 14. Never had a job before then too. Then I applied for a PC Mastercard and I got one too!

Around 6 months. I think it was also because I had a PC Financial account for a month already.

if you are a royal bank customer.... i recommend gettin their credit card... you qualify for the student package.... so you get the student VISA which is quite good...
$1 = 1 point
and when you get 3000pts you can redeem for $25 in gift cards._______________

I agree with eliteblaze. They do ask for School information or Income because I remember it.
I think chances of getting a credit card increases if you are a university student too.

I'm pretty sure you are guaranteed $500 limit at TD if you have an account. I don't remember putting employer information in at all when I applied online. I have been with that branch for about 9 years though, but my friend has an account at scotia, I told him to get a visa at TD because it was almost an instant approval. He did,and within 2 weeks he had a visa as well. I have no complaints except I wish they ahd a rewards program. In a few months I will probably apply for another one where I get rewards. So far I have not kept a balance, but I've used the credit card alot, and just go home and pay it all back through the web interface. It helps since I only have 10 debit transactions a month and if I go over it's a stupid $3 fee or something outrageous liek that. So witha visa everything is simple, cheap and fast.
