That's weird that Crucial would be selling flash memory, as they're a direct retail unit of Micron, who purchased Lexar last year..

are these reliable? how are they compared to other brands?

is the price difference for a more expensive brand worth it?

I'm using a Crucial 256MB CompactFlash in my digital camera, it works great. As another poster said, Micron is the parent company of Crucial and Lexar... so it's NOT a no-name company. As long as the price is good, go for it.

they work. They are not fast by any means. I've had one for the better part of 9 months and it works. That's pretty much all you ask of memory cards.

Flash memory is flash memory. Crucial provides lifetime warranty, if that means anything. I'm using a Crucial 2GB CF card, no problems so far.
