Not as cheap (C$0 AR !) as the Noma (13W) deals last week ... but I personally like these 'soft white' bulbs better. I am not the 'cool white' kind of guy![]()

Saw some other ones (i think the brand was Globe) for $7.98 -$5 coupon that were 100W output but had a 7 year/10000 hour warranty.

May 27th, 2006 08:14 AM #5I had a Noma package in my hand last night, and decided not to use my coupon on it. The 23W Noma bulbs were much larger than the 26W GE next to them, and I've found that the larger CFLs don't fit all light fixtures. I've got until August 31 to use the coupon anyway.

May 27th, 2006 08:48 AM #8I think some Canadian Tires did not allow people to use them on the Noma packages due to the lack of the Energy Star saver label. While this worked earlier in the week, at the end, I think some stores got a set list of product that can and cannot be used with the $5 coupon.

The Conservation Bureau Coupons are Ontario only. I have found them at CT and Walmart, expiry August 31/06. Somehow this is possibly funded by the Ontario government.
Had no problem at CT using coupon on Noma at beginning and end of week, although one cashier at Heron Rd. was not accepting them; however, another one did.

May 28th, 2006 09:50 PM #12wish I had seen this sooner, I tried once at Heron rd and was denied so I figured they had been well informed by management to make sure there was the energy star, but I guess I should have gone back and tried again with different cashier.

May 29th, 2006 07:55 AM #14That is odd.. why would these bulbs not be energy star compliant..wish I had seen this sooner, I tried once at Heron rd and was denied so I figured they had been well informed by management to make sure there was the energy star, but I guess I should have gone back and tried again with different cashier.

They probably were compliant, but they must have hired some ex-Staples management.
