I have one and at first I did have issues with chipping then I decided to just let the saw do the cutting and not try to add any additional pressure to the tile in an attempt to cut it quicker. I'll agree, it's not perfect but the end result of tiling my entire backspash in the kitchen made it worth every penny. It is just for an occasional use and if anything goes wrong you can always exchange it because it carries 3 year warranty.
