I bought a couple of these the last time they were on sale. They are pretty good and the usb charging slots are very convenient.

I also purchased this surge protector from CT over a year ago on sale but a bit cheaper then.
In white & "Noma" branded with the exact same code 052-2460-8 on box.
Works OK
The usb slots are very fitted so that standard usb cables with metal male endings will fit;
I have some ipod cables without usb metal male fittings
& any extra width on plastic housing with the usb connectors then it will not fit into slots.
The usb charging light seems to flicker a bit when charging my ipod.

Gotta keep something in mind, most people don't use these things with protection from power surges in mind, they really just use them to plug in more things. Sure maybe someone told them it's good for your computer, but they are not gonna go looking at brands, stats, and spend like $50 on one when the local stores has some for $15.
For those talking about fire risk, are you really worried about that? I have personally never seen a power bar, surge protector, or anything like this ever come anywhere close to causing a fire. I've seen some that stopped working, and that's it. Remember, millions of households have such cheap crappy surge protectors in their homes, whether it's from CT, Walmart, anywhere. As I said above, average person probably goes to such stores and buys the cheapest one that has the number of outlets they need.
Personally, while I might not trust a cheap NOMA product to offer great protection for my devices, I have no fear of it burning the house down. Oh, I should mention though that I live in Windsor and houses average probably under $200k here rather than the $500k someone else eluded to, so maybe that's why I don't care

If it can't charge an Iphone, then is not even 1000mA .. which is 1 ampThere is no documentation on the output of the USB ports however, I bought the power bar in the hopes that it would charge my iPhone 4s and iPad 2. It does not.
