[ON CTV News] Meteorite Tonight?
Did anyone happen to see the bright flash of light tonight? I was just entering the house and this firework looking thing comes shooting by not that far off. It even smelled like a firework. Happened around 9PM.

If it was a meteorite you would not have been able to smell it unless the impact was right next to you, in which case you would have definitely felt it.
Maybe you're having a stroke.

Naa my heart is fine.
My dad, who was with me saw it as well so it wasn't just me. I happen to be returning from a shoot and got a blurry pic of it. Uploading now.

Well did you hear anything? There is no possible way you would smell anything unless it was extremely close...unless someone coincidentally set off fireworks as a meteorite flashed by.

I did hear the "fizzle" sound you might expect from a firework. Edited only to add a watermark. Its a pretty abstract shot, but that light is from the meteorite.

I've never seen a photo of a meteorite like that, it seems way too close(yes I know even with zoom)...alien probe maybe?

It was a 180mm lens. The actual thing was pretty big with my naked eye. Its was probably 100 times the size I usually see up at the cottage.

I was seeing facebook updates like crazy, and its all over twitter. Apparently went down near niagara falls? Others said that it stopped and changed direction. Very freaky, I'm sure if it was something that we'll never know and get some wishy washy story

Childish post warning:
The important thing for those who spotted it is: did y'all make a wish?
