[ON CTV News] Meteorite Tonight?

I saw it while having a smoke on the balcony, huge flash then a sparkling object with a orange tail. Lasted 2-3 seconds at most, it sort of disintegrated in the atmosphere.

At first I was pretty sure it was fireworks, because it was very low and just above my apartment building. But then I realized I didn't hear any firework launching noise and the direction and angle seems liked it was coming from the above me towards the ground.

Unlike the reports, I heard no sound and did not smell anything (but then again I was having a smoke).

very bright light soaring down very fast, it was pretty cool

update: pieces of the meteorite from last month were found. They hit some guy's windshield in Grimsby
