Curtis E-Reader and Tablet at Zellers. Any good??
Can't find any reviews of either the tablet or E-Reader. Any reviews or recommends? Tablet is $150, the E-Reader is $80. I can't afford an Ipad or Samsung Galaxy so looking for alternatives. My monthly stipend means I only have about $200 to play with in any given month and even then I'll have to starve for several weeks in order to buy one of these. Entered every contest on this board in the past 3 months but never won a !@#$ thing so it's unlikely I'll be getting a present anytime soon.
Your thoughts...
UPDATE (March 15): OOPS! Big error. These are actually Craig Electronics models CMP739 (E-reader) and CMP738a (Tablet). Can't change the header though...

Spent the last 2 hours looking for info and found that the machine should be able to be modified into a E-glide tablet using custom firmware. Best place to start is here:

Sunigirl has all the info needed for the RK28xx series of chips that these things use. Really ups the functionality of these cheap devices. Looking forward to see what other mods come of all this...
I'm going to have to check out Zellers again but I think these Craig devices are also based on the same RK2818 chipset and as such can be modded quite easily.
More info on these devices here:
