Custom PC Build

What do you think of this build? This is my first PC build. My budget is ~$500. Using for homework, movies, and light gaming. Would welcome your constructive feedback.

$48.99 Fractal Design Core Series 1500 mATX Mid Tower Case Black No PSU
$49.99 Fractal Integra R2 650W ATX 12V 80PLUS Bronze Power Supply 120MM Sleeve Bearing Fan
$79.98 Mushkin Enhanced Redline FROSTBYTE-G3-R 2X4GB 8GB DDR3-1866 PC3-14900 1.5V Dual Memory Kit
$189.99 Intel Core i5 4440 Quad Core 3.1GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 6MB Cache Retail
$104.99 ASRock Z97M Anniversary mATX LGA1150 1XPCIE3.0X16 2XPCIE2.0X1 DVI-D D-Sub HDMI 6XSATA3 Motherboard
$24.99 Be Quiet! Pure Rock CPU Cooler LGA775/1150/1155/1156/1366/2011/2011-3/ FM1/FM2/AM2/AM3

No need for SSD, as I will be reusing from old PC that went bust. Feeling good about the CPU, but not too sure about the MoBo.

TOTAL: $509.92 + Tax

Everything from NCIX.ca BTW, trying hard to stay away from MIR. I truly dislike them.

Thanks

You'll probably want a dedicated graphics card for gaming. I just built a PC with that CPU and you don't really need anything more than the stock CPU cooler if you're not overclocking (which you can't really without a K CPU). Also the z97 mobo is probably more than you need. You might be able to save by getting an h97 board. I went with an r9 280 GPU, but for light gaming your best bet is probably the geforce 750 ti. That being said Garden Warfare is the frostbite engine, so it's hardly "light gaming". I'd say this r9 280 is the best deal going, by a large margin: http://www.ncix.com/detail/club-3d-rade ... 1159546183. Though, if you're willing to pay a bit more you can get the gigabyte 280, which is the fastest, and coolest 280 (make sure it can fit in that case, though: http://www.ncix.com/detail/gigabyte-rad ... 8-1301.htm. PM me if you have any questions.

With some googling, garden warfare *recommends* gtx 660. That's in the $200 range. :-0 It seems gtx 750 ti falls below standards from what I gather.
I have that game for the xbox360, and wanted to try it out on the PC. I didn't expect a game that plays on an old console would need such high-end graphics card for the PC version.
