time doesnt matter from about 3 till 6 its like that....Markham is two lanes from steeles till just north of the 407. The right lane ends, decent ppl who know this wait patiently in the left lane way in advance...but the douche bags who think their time is more important speed till the last possible minute and cut in front of cars that leave too much space...happens every day...used to it by now...but drives me crazy that ppl can be that indecent.

I don't endorse the act but..
people who are raging on this topic should just relax, seriously, no point in getting worked up over some dummies. Sure they break the law, sure you honk, sure they get mad and give you finger indecencies.
I don't even use my horn anymore then just to let people know they are swerving into my lane.
The horn isn't meant to be used to "insult" or "rebuke" someone, it is only there so that you have a way to let someone know you are where you are.
No point in ruining your day over some dummy.
Also you may argue that those people don't effect you yet you honk and post your rage on here, but remember stress is a compounding emotion, don't add unnecessary floors.

I have to agree with this: blocking, honking, bird flipping, etc. don't deter the behaviour if the guy's a douchbag who is genuinely worthy of the label.
I see people run red lights virtually every day - arguably more dangerous - and I don't send myself into a useless flailing display at every occasion. My best advice - for those who spot a particularly dangerous or flagrant move - is to get down the particulars and call the cops. They'll be more than happy to give the d-bag a warning - it may not affect him much but it reinforces the message that he's being watched. Plus, multiple warnings on your record aren't impressive when the d-bag finally gets yanked over by the cops.

Happens quite often during the morning and evening rush hour. Most, if not all of the ones that practice the act are teenagers trying to impress the other drivers on the road. However, they are lacking common sense...
I've seen drivers that try to squeeze between the L and R right... in a Land Rover at speeds of 75 km +. If anyone of the drivers on the lanes were to move in a bit... that driver would have been done.

What were you looking for? Him to flip the finger? Apologize? It's not like he did it by mistake.
