Dancing in clubs
I know that a lot of you go clubbing regularly.. I'll be visiting a club soon, but it'll be pretty new to me. Not sure what kind of music will be played.. top dance hits? hopefully some trance..
Anyway, does anyone have advice on how to blend in and have fun dancing? I've tried asking around and searching on the net, but haven't got a lot besides moving side to side, hip movement, and shrugging shoulders. (I'm a girl, if that matters.) Thanks.Last edited by iridium77; Jan 29th, 2006 at 03:22 PM.

we are mixing up the crowd so its not jsut the asian scene anymore... third floor will be open for dance, trance, drum and base starting friday...
and if u cant blend with that crew go downstairs and move to the hiphop beats.
we got cheap drinks too so everyone gets drunk by 12 - 1... so no one will notice u. the only real moves ull need to know is how to approach women. once u get them ull be dancing behind them so they wont even know that u dont know how to dance, just dont knock em over from behind while you grinding em.... that'll get u killed lol_______________

I feel the Guv and Viva are the best trance clubs in Toronto. No contest.
Mark Oliver residents Viva on Friday, Guv on Saturday. +1 Trance DJ in Canada, IMO.

If you're a girl, I'm sure it'll be easy for you. just sway your hips, close your eyes and feel the music. Girls naturally dance well hahhaa.

Look around and do what everyone else is doing. If you decide not to dance, don't stand in the middle of the dance floor looking unconfortable, that will make you stand out. Thats for a girl, for a guy, its a lot more common, so no one will really take notice.

Yeah, Carlton took Speed because he mistook it for wake up pills, he was tired so he took them and BAM he went nuts. Something like that.
Too many asian people at Viva, and I'm asian. =P Lotsa my friends go there, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was mostly trance._______________

hey gyal! come to Distrik on friday ill show u how to boogie. Lol ... then u can tell everyone on RFD how i acted a foo.
its all in good fun
Dont take clubbing to seriously.. its just a place for ppl to get drunk, have fun etc...
move side to side... and give ur hips a lil turn. A Females feminine body makes these movements alot smoother. Females are usually "conditions" from birth to move in 'girly' ways. This makes dancing for girls look really good._______________

Just avoid doing the Elaine Benes "dance/kick spasm" and you will be fine.
