Are Danier leather products made in Canada?
Hello
Where can I find clothing or accessories Made in Canada?
I want to send my cousin a gift for her birthday. She lives overseas and when I asked, she said she wants something clothes or handbag etc made in Canada LOL
Anyway trying to find this seems a bit difficult as I know many Canadian brands may make their products in other countries. I heard Roots tends to make things in Canada but what about Danier Leather? I don't own anything from there so I don't know
Any gifts under $100 would be great!

Some Danier jackets are made in Canada, but most are made in China. Canadian-made are more expensive.

I went an checked my Danier purse and surprise, surprise, made in China. I probably can't afford anything leather made in Canada unless it is some awful colour/style/missing some buckles and marked way down!
I'm going to ask for something for my birthday too!

When the cost of making the item has a low labour cost (that is, the material is expensive in comparison to the labour), then the item is made in Canada -- in other words, just the most expensive leather items. Everything else is made in China for take advantage of the lower labour costs.

find some locally designed locally made stuff like a purse or other accessories or clothing. Go to small boutiques and ask around where you can find stuff like that. Don't bother with brand name stores like roots that you can get anywhere.

A lot of yoga gear seems to be made in Canada. Lululemon (not all), and also surprisingly the Bay brand yogo gear is as well.
