I drank 4 glasses (250ml) of milk (in less than 1 min.) because power was out and didn't want to let it spoil - I was able to hold back from vomiting but I am curious as to what causes the vomiting?
It's the fat that causes it. A lot of fat diluted in water can't be absorbed properly.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked itsyours for this post.

The bat boy of Marlins was offered $500 by Penny to do that. However, the poor bat boy failed and was also suspended by Marlins for a week doing so.

everyone is a little lactose intolerant, thats why you vomit. it's because you consume so much in such a short time.

I had a friend chug a bag of milk, 1.33L in about a minute with no ill effects...maybe worse with 3 times that amount but an hour is lots of time.
haha that was a funny episode!
i thought he was gonna win the $1000
Yeah I know but he chugged it down in like 10 minutes
He could of used up the hour and drink slowly which would be better instead of drinking all of it and waiting out like 50 minutes in which case gives you more time to vomitLOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked Jeff146 for this post.
What IS lactose?
from what i remember (grade 11 bio) lactose is a carbohydrate. certain people lose their ability to process it due to a gene "turning off" and the lack of the enzyme (lactase) needed to digest it. almost everyone loses some of that enzyme after the age of breastfeeding.... that might explain why ppl can't help but vomit. or maybe it's because milk is the bodily fluids sucked from a cow's udders. :PLast edited by artemm; Oct 8th, 2005 at 08:46 PM.

Is it a very important protein? (I don't know why but I love the way "lactose intolerant" sounds...-_-)_______________
