Can we safely say that modern entertainment reviewers are operating from a different baseline compared to the intended audience here? These divergences seems to be getting more and more common.

I'm curious on your thoughts.

Well Netflix has lots of crap and Sharknado was liked by many too

This is from Netflix audience so the score doesn't mean much as it's mostly garbage on Netflix so this rating reflects the context

I watched it , it's okay for Netflix as it's "free" and included. Not really funny or that good, but good background playing with a couple of lightly funny moments

People nowadays are far too sensitive. I love Chappelle because he does his own thing which is hilarious...he is not worried about opinions.

The sensitive people even know THEY CLICKED ON HIS FACE

I just watched about 10-15 minutes of this just now and turned it off. I really didn’t find it funny at all, I love his old stuff but got bored watching this one.

I thought it was great, very funny. My wife enjoyed it too. Not as good as his earlier Netflix specials (from last year I believe) but still good.

BTW we're liberals.

Yes I know it was very politically incorrect and useless media sites like VICE (the left-wing version of Fox News, IMO) are roasting him for attacking trans people, but honestly -- HE'S A COMEDIAN. HIS SHOW IS A JOKE. You're not supposed to take it seriously. Doesn't anybody remember Howard Stern from 20 years ago?

I'm really pleased with the responses here across the political spectrum.

Self-awareness, understanding, cordiality.

Thank you, gents.

Loved it.
Thought the 'LGBTQ travelling in the car together' bit was genius.

Yeah his old stuff was legendary, Chapelle show too. These new specials feel really watered down. I had to somewhat force myself to finish this last one. Not sure whether he just ran out of ideas/washed up or networks/Netflix tells him to really tone it down?

I was losing it at Juicy Smoulier part.

Thought the entire routine was great. Make sure to stick around to the end for the 20 minute bonus level.
