Day trip to Havana - any good?

This will be my forth time in Cuba and we've never gone to Havana. This time we are staying in varadero so think it might be worth the trip. Can't find the cost yet.

Anyone know where i can ballpark the cost of the trip?

We did a day tour of Havana last year and it was great. Next time I go back, I'll definitely be looking at least an overnight stay in the city.

Havana is worth the trip. There are a couple different options for tours to the city. The most popular one includes a visit to The Tropicana in the evening, but there are also options to go and visit a cigar factory or take a tour of some of the cemeteries in Havana and see all the famous people buried there. You should be able to find something that suits your taste.

Absolutly you havn't been to Cuba till you have been to Havana, Find your self a driver and get him to drive you to Havana, get him to take the senic route thru the country, we did this a few years back and it was well worth it.

Havana is a fantastic place for short trip. She offers a lot of dancing schools, beautiful restaurants, great wines and cigars. I love this place of the Caribbean area,

resorts offer 2 day trips which cost $165CUC if I am not mistaken
I got in touch with the local guy who made similar arrangements with a private tour but it was more expensive and I wasn't sure if better. we liked the trip. it also includes the tropicana show which itself costs $80CUC. if you do not want to go to the show, they will reimburse you $40CUC

Depends on if you want to do the one day trip or the over night trip.

I did a one day trip, booked it through a tour company on our resort. It was quite a few years ago, I do not remember the price but I do remember that it included one meal (lunch), and any drinks were extra and tip was not included. They also expected you to tip the tour guide...

That being said, it was worth the trip and I would recommend it. Excellent tour, and interesting.
