DDWRT - QOS for VOIP?

I noticed that if I'm uploading something it makes my VOIP very "skippy", basically the phone doesn't work so well. How do I make it so my VOIP router get's full/uninterrupted access to the bandwidth and my computers get the rest? I don't need much more than that, will it only be effective while I'm on a call? Thanks

Put the router's IP or MAC as premium class. The downside is that you will have to define a hard limit on your upload rate.

What codec are you using? You could switch to G729, which uses less bandwidth.
