Cheapest I've seen the Tab 2 7.0 available in Canada, upcoming in the Wal-Mart flyer beginning Friday December 14 until 20th. Also will be available online. Flyer is WK47-12-CR-11-E-LSH-NAT so I'm guessing it'll be a coast to coast deal.

Good for a cheap android tab. Terrible specs though. At least it has a microsd slot.

IMHO, Nexus 7's a better deal with quad core, near retina screen and better support for only 50$ more. Only upside is the microSD slot and possible storage upgrade.

I hope this will help those who can't decide which to get. In any case, I might just jump on the galaxy tab 2 because I don't need anything more powerful beyond everyday tasks and the occassional kids game

i pm my nexus 7 at BB and no charge on the extra shipping, you can give it a try

but i do agree i used this tablet before and it seems pretty sluggish compare to the N7, so i wouldn't recommand anyone with it

Yeah, it's more than $50. I think stores don't sell the 16GB N7 anymore, which used to be $209. The Galaxy Tab 2 has MicroSD support which the N7 doesn't. That could be a huge difference for a lot of people, since MicroSDs are cheap. Put a nice ~$30 64GB one in there.

Why do both gsmarena links say that it has TV-out? I can't seem to find a reference to this anywhere else

I can't find the 16GB N7 either, I thought maybe he had some secret info about it.
$50 more I would get the N7 but $60 more I'll get the Tab 2.
I actually have one right now and I find it a bit small, but I'm giving them to my kids so they should be fine with their little fingers.
