A deal on a good pair of headphones...under $100
I'm looking to buy a set of heaphones under $100 dollars (DJ style) so if anyone knows any deals on a pair let me know.
I was looking at the Sony MDR-V6 but I can't find them in canada for a descent price.

I have those cans! I did a lot of checking around when I purchased them and couldn't find anything in Canada. I eventually caved and bought them from a U.S. merchant. You might want to post a query at HeadWize. I often see these headphones on ebay, as well (there's a $50 buyitnow at the moment). Good luck.

Pear = Fruit
Pair. Maybe you should invest in a dictionary.

Totally. If you're moving from like $5 headphones or whatever came with your discman/ipod you'll notice a huge difference sound wise. The V6s are a tad bass heavy, but certainly not overwhelmingly so. A lot of people will tell you that Grado 80s/60s are better in this price range, but it all depends on what you are looking for. If you just want something for home use the Grados may be better. Since they are not closed around your ear like the Sonys, however, Grados aren't suited to walking around/travelling, etc. The V6s, on the other hand, sound good, can be used almost anywhere and are pretty much indestructible as far as I'm concerned. I've taken mine around the world and back, used them while djing, used them on the bus/train/subway, etc and they continue to please me on a daily basis. In an ideal world you should probably demo headphones before you buy them, but I have no problem saying that you'll most likely be pleased with the V6s.

One word: Shure.
http://www.shurestore.com/earphones/index.html
E2C = entry level Shure earphones (bud style), noise cancelling, precision made, what else can you say but perfection. $109 USD.
But if you want headphones, that's not my area of recommendation, go with earphones.

DJ style? so that means you want isolation...for $100 i would say the Sennheiser HD280's
if you want just really good headphones for $100, i highly recommend the Grado SR60's or SR80's
you can find these on head-fi
edit: the Grado's do not isolate sound, they actually leak but the sound quality is 2nd to none, you feel like you're live at a concert
