For the longest time my mustache region would get red, itchy, flaky and I didn't know why. Finally saw a doctor and discovered it was eczema. Problem with steroid creams are they can cause thinning of the skin and the skin on your face is already so delicate. So she prescribed me Protopic and it has worked wonders. I also use it on my neck and forearms from time to time but flare ups are rare. The first night of using it is unbearable though because it ironically causes even more itching but after that it's fine.
Hope that helps.

My eczema is fairly mild, mostly on my hands and wrists. I like using unrefined shea butter for long lasting relief (compared to regular lotions). It's cheap too.

I use La Roche Posay Toleraine Fluide. It's been amazing on my eczema (and available at SDM). I avoid using steroids at all cost.

From my personal opinion one should not take resort to chemical-based pharmaceuticals. It's wise to handle your eczema issue totally naturally before turning to possibly dangerous pharmaceutical medications and i think this method is the best. Anyway i find that drinking lots of water, less alcohol and using low irritant, preferably organic moisturizer, shampoos and conditioners and other products seems to help combined with washing and moisturizing twice daily. And i prefer to use Nivea body moisturizer although i not faced with eczema but i think this one will be mild and good for eczema.

Eczema is a terrible skin condition mostly characterized by irritation and inflammation of the outer surface of the skin.To get rid of ECZEMA, even the worst dry, cracking, painful, sore, scabby, and flaky case: Temovate (generic Clobetasol) ointment, applied 2 times each day. It will clear up in one week. Remember Eczema is known and "The itch that rashes". Eczema is a generalized name for a skin condition where your skin reacts with itchiness from an allergen, any allergen. Too much scratching, causes the onset.
