Pretty crappy, I don't see anything good in it really except for the price, I think I'd rather save a little more money and get a good branded DLP. better than magnavox though.

Are you trying to solicit business for yourself on RFD?

While at the same time drumming up business for his store...which I consider blatent commercialism and should be banned from the forums in the vein of "don't have it in your posession, can't sell it".
He's screwing FS by doing what he's doing...I hope he likes his job (and his managers/supervisors too if they've cleared this) as I think higher ups at FS wouldn't be too impressed with the general public being offered employee (or thereabouts) pricing on anything they want, thus killing their margins.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for deals, but this guy has to be getting SOME kickback, else why waste your time with this?

Drew, I think you're blowing it WAY out of proportion and you have your facts all wrong. Even if someone here works @ FS and can get "deals" on stuff, they're still making money for the company; FS doesn't sell stuff for a loss or even at cost (unless they are clearance/discontinued items) and TV's over $1000 are high markup items. That's why they can afford to cut some $800 on Boxing Day and sell 30 units at cost. Getting someone a few hundred off in January still gives FS a nice profit (again, TV's are high profit items) and the salesman gets his commission kickback.
It's pretty much win-win; the salesman makes his commission and FS gets a sale that quite often they wouldn't get (I'm encouraging my parents to buy an HDTV but they won't unless they get a 'deal', for example).
Even "employee" pricing at FS is not cost; FS and Best Buy have fictional "cost" prices they give employees which is actually not the true product's cost (I know for a fact BB uses this tactic and I'm 95% sure FS does as well).
Finally, as for forum rules, he's certainly not listing anything here, and you need to buy this from Future Shop! It's not like it's being sold off the back of a truck, and he's not advertising anything aside from "come to my store."

How is the Norcent plasma on sale at FS for $1299. I would use it as an occasional tv watching cable, little dvd and no gaming. Thoughts?
