Dell 17" LCD - Scratched Screen - Help?

I bought a Dell 17" LCD from a couple "10 days of Dell deals" promotion ... and in my infinite stupidity was doing some handy work in the office when I knocked over my power drill - which was inappropriately placed next to the dell LCD.

the drill bit caught the bottom part of the lcd screen and now has about a 1" scratch along the bottom of it - going into the plastic frame as well.

is there anyway to fix this?

I don't think so. Unless you replace the whole screen. What kind of warranty does it have?

damn ... was afraid of that ... ohh well ... gotta figure something out ... it's really buggin' me ... looks like there's a hair on my taskbar.
