I am thinking of buying the 40" SHARP AQUOS. Is this Aquos worth it? I'm trying to figure out the model number. I don't need a Blu-Ray player ATM, is there any re-sale value to that box?

Good eye. TV is Model: LC40E67U
Here is a comparison of the 3 40" models that Sharp has.
I am fairly new to the HDTV world, and am looking at getting my first HDTV. Should I take the plunge with this?
Not too picky about LED or 120/240hz. Mainly going to be used to watch downloaded media. No gaming or or computer connection.

U.S deal - please add that to the title, OP
not very hot either, IMO...
Black Friday is coming soon and there will be more hot deals down South than any other time of year, even Boxing Day at times.

N3235w
I wonder why the Viewsonic N3235w - a 720p set (Amazon.com, CNet review) - is listed with an optimal resolution of "1920x1080" (1080p)?! That's just plain misleading. If you hit the Tech Specs tab it does at least specify that it's only 720p.
TV listings shouldn't be that hard: Make, Model, Size, Resolution, Perhaps Refresh rate (assume: 60hz if not specified).

OP's thread is about Canadian deal and not US. Dell USA sells this TV for $674 so if Dell Canada would PM it then it would be good deal but I doubt it since they are including BD player.

Terrible deals.
I purchased that sharp tv for 523$ US last time I was in the states at Sears. BTW, I also returned it the following day - the picture was subpar (reds are pink) and it doesn't do 1080p over VGA.
