Dell Axim questions

I've been thinking of getting a Dell Axim for on the bus/road/travel (essentially a laptop replacement since I don't need a whole laptop) and am wondering..

How easy is it to find/connect to wireless? Should I get that Connect software Dell lists on their Axim configuration page?
How is it for web browsing? I'd like to be able to surf the net on my home wireless while watching DVDs or checking GameFaqs while playing PS2.
How do you install apps on it? Like if I wanted to install Trillian or Firefox can I do it? Does it uses the 256mb ROM or the SD card?
