Dell SE2717H: 27-inch 1080p IPS FreeSync Monitor $169.55 CAD + Tax (free shipping)

Deal Link:
Price:
169.55
Retailer:
Dell.ca
Dell.ca is having a sale and they are offering the SE2717H: 27-inch 1080p IPS FreeSync Monitor for $219.99 but if you hit configure and price, you can subtract $31.60 taking out the "3 Years Advanced Exchange Service" and applying the 10%OFFMONITOR coupon you'll get to $169.55 before taxes and the shipping is free.
The downside is that the "grey to grey" response is 6ms which is not optimal for gaming but is not so bad.
I think is an OK deal for an IPS FreeSync monitor

Ugh, so tempting, but I've spent too much this month on gadgets and gizmos.

Please advise

I know it's refurbished, but image quality is very good on the HP. And I don't game on these monitors.
I think the Dell would still be the better option. Brand new. Adaptive sync technology (freesync) between 48 - 75hz. Even if you don't game, you'll definitely enjoy the smoother desktop experience with higher refresh rate monitors.

This is what I see on HP website:
Display scan frequency (horizontal)
Up to 94 kHz
Display scan frequency (vertical)
Up to 76 Hz
aren't they similar?
I tried to look for reviews of the Dell but haven't found any.

Nope, scan frequencies aren't refresh rates. Those numbers are used to be divided by the the resolution to give you the refresh rate, which is 60hz for this monitor.

If you absolutely need the VESA mount option on the LG, then stick with it. If not, the Dell would be a better and cheaper monitor (even with the 3 year advanced warranty).

I took the plunge and ordered the DELL.
If colours aren't good on it, I'll send it back and get the HP.
ya, $12 Eco fee is a bummer, total comes over $200 for me, ON.

Monitor noob here. Is this alright for gaming? It has 6ms (gray to gray).

dell advantage. You sign up for it. it's 5% "gift card" after certain days of your purchase.
5% for over $100 purchase only though. This one fits the bill
