Right now, Dell.ca has the Pharos Drive 150 GPS for $99.99 EARN CASH BACK. I'd say the big sell is that it's got text-to-speech. We really haven't seen many new GPS units yet with text-to-speech at the $99 price point.
- Features 3.5" TFT LCD display
- Equipped with street level maps of US
- Provides turn-by-turn directions with text-to-speech prompts announcing street name
- 32-bit CPU processor for fast route calculation
- Ultra sensitive 20-channel SiRF StarIII GPS receiver for fast and accurate positioning
- Includes stylus and a car mount for added convenience
- includes 1 x 1 GB SD Card
Actually, it's well reviewed at Amazon.com -- 4/5 based on 64 reviews (and also $90 US). Some Googling also reveals that this GPS is potentially "customizable". With free shipping to boot, this one looks pretty good if you ask me!

Thanks OP. Was going to jump on that Mio GPS Dell had earlier this week but this looks to be the better deal. Now to do more research on this Pharos.

Funny - i thought mine was a 220 - its a 230. lol. Guess I should have looked at the before I posted.
Still, for ease of use - the mio is great. Maybe someone with a Pharo can let us know how it is.
I would like to get another Text to Speech GPS for the other vehicle._______________

Feb 27th, 2009 01:42 PM #14If you don't want GPS to be a mini hobby then this is not for you. However after it is hacked you can load all of maps you need and software such as tom tom, igo8, miomap, etc.

I used to think the same thing; now, I am using a Dell Axim with the Pharos BT Adapter and the GPS Unit from Streets and Trips (I know, a mosh up of hardware) + IGuidance 2009 (have used this since V3)
I would NEVER go back to something that didn't tell me (EXIT ON THE RIGHT ONTO HIGHWAY 416 SOUTH). Keeps my eyes on the road instead of on the GPS..._______________
